The AISTS assumes its obligation to support the development and professionalisation of sport worldwide by granting a SCHOLARSHIP for one candidate for the 7^th edition of its internationally recognised Master of Advanced Studies in Sport Administration & Technology (MSA) in 2009.

Biggest Economic Impact In Lemanic Arc

An economic impact study by the International Academy of Sports Science and Technology (AISTS) shows that the International Olympic Committee (IOC) contributes at least CHF 198 million to the Swiss economy annually in the form of jobs, investments and retail spending.

This year’s MSA team projects come to a successful end 23 and 24 June 2008 with presentations open to sport federations at the MSI conference room green and blue in Lausanne. The MSA teams dealt with exciting topics mandated by international and regional sport organisations helping for example UEFA to support future hosting cities of the EURO more effectively by assessing the impact of the EURO on public authorities.

In January 2009 the 7^th edition of the AISTS Master in Sport Administration and Technology, an internationally recognised postgraduate degree, is taking place in Lausanne, the Olympic Capital.

The inaugural forum on 'Sustainable Design in Sports' organised by the International Academy of Sports Science and Technology (AISTS) in collaboration with Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL), International Sports Engineering Association (ISEA) and the City of Lausanne concluded today on a high note leaving behind plenty of food for thought for all the stakeholders in the sports world. Right from the governing bodies of sports, represented by the International Olympic Committee (IOC), the Vancouver 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Games Organising Committee and the International Mountaineering and Climbing Federation (UIAA) to the support industries, with Robin Cornelius from Switcher and Robbert de Kock from the World Sporting Goods Industry Federation (WFSGI), and the future leaders of the sports world.

Registration is now OPEN for the "Sport Management Seminar for Women" to be held between the 1st and 4th September 2008.

Coaching young athletes is a big challenge for any coach since they are still in their physical and psychological development stage. Nevertheless, coaching young athletes can be very rewarding if done correctly. Speakers from the world of sports were sharing and discussing their experience with the audience in the MSI in Lausanne.

The AISTS is very pleased to announce the addition of two new individuals to its current staff of five collaborators.
