The International Academy of Sports Science and Technology (AISTS) assumes its obligation to support the development and professionalization of sport worldwide by granting a scholarship for one candidate each year for its internationally recognised Master of Advanced Studies in Sport Administration & Technology (MSA). The scholarship is need based and will be awarded at the discretion of the AISTS Executive Committee and will cover all course fees (CHF 23,000 for the 2011 MSA). Candidates will have to fulfill all requirements for selection into the MSA programme and will need to demonstrate financial need, as well as the capacity to support all expenses for housing, transportation, other additional costs of living in Lausanne (estimated at CHF 1,700 per month), and cost of travel to Switzerland and back to the country of residence. Applications will be treated confidentially. The decision of the Executive Committee is final.

To be considered for the scholarship the candidate has to fulfill the following application requirements:

•    Successful application and selection for the MSA 2011, which includes:         

     - Prior university degree from a recognised university
     - Professional experience and sport experience

     - English fluency (a GMAT test, or a language test by an approved institution for non-native English speakers is highly recommended. TOEFL min scores: 550 paper, 213 Computer, 80 Internet (min. 20 for each section), IELTS min score: 6.5

     - High motivation to work in sport
     - Supportive references

•    Being in a situation of financial need (please fill out “Demonstration of Financial Need” form)

•    Proof of ability to support cost of living in Lausanne (approx. CHF 1’700.- per month), and cost of travel to Switzerland and back to country of residence.

Scholarship Application Deadline for the 2011 MSA: 3 May 2010
All candidates for the scholarship MUST apply for acceptance into the programme, as well as for the scholarship, by the FIRST application deadline, 3 May 2010.  Applications received by the second and final deadline of 15 August 2010, will not be considered for the scholarship.
