Tailored Educational Programs
Every sports organisation, federation, league, club or brand is unique and has special requirements, particularly when it comes to the training and education of its members and employees.
To respond to these special needs, the AISTS offers tailored educational programs delivered in-house and adapted to ensure effective learning. Over the years the AISTS has delivered programs to various organisations, international federations and international universities to help meet their needs whether it be to help the delivery of an event, enhance a current educational program or develop certain skills within an organization.
We are currently working in collaboration with:
- The University of Tsukuba, Tokyo, Japan
- The Tsinghua University, Beijing, China
- The University of Canberra, Canberra, Australia
Below are two examples of our tailored education programs we currently are administrating.
The University of Tsinghua, Beijing, China
As part of the Chinese development in Winter Sports as a strategic legacy of the 2022 Winter Olympic and Paralympic Games in Beijing, AISTS delivers two postgraduate courses at University of Tsinghua, a top-ranked University in Asia. The participants are sport professionals from the 2022 Beijing Olympic Games Organising Committee, from from national sport federations and from the general administration of sport.
The topics covered by AISTS are (1) Olympic Winter Sports Strategic Management, (2) Tourism and (3) Sport in Global Marketing. The lecturers are given by AISTS lecturers and professors with also guest speakers who are experts from the fields of winter sports in Switzerland and in China.
The University of Tsukuba, TIAS
Academic Partner of Tokyo 2020 Olympic Organising Committee
As part of the plans by the Japanese Ministry of Education, Culture, Sport, Science and Technology to create and leave an educational legacy, the AISTS and the University of Tsukuba, the academic partner of Tokyo 2020, have partnered to jointly deliver the AISTS SEMOS (Sports Event Management and Organisation Seminar).
The dual objectives of Japan SEMOS are to help develop the skills of current and future sports managers who will be leading the organisation of major sporting events in the region, as well as to serve as a platform of exchange for learning and dialogue between Europe and Asia.
The two-week program is delivered by the AISTS annually in Toyko and has been doing so since 2015, within the Master in Sport and Olympic Studies program at the University of Tsukuba.
