The AISTS application process for the 18th edition of the AISTS sports management program is closing soon.  Our MAS class will start in September 2019 so be sure to get your application in and secure your seat in the Class of 2020. 

The AISTS Sports Management program is a 15-month post-graduate program targeted at candidates who have a university degree and previous work experience and wish to re-orientate their career in the sports industry.  Ranked the number 1 sports management program in the world for 2015, 16, 17 and 18 by Eduniversal, the AISTS Master of Advanced Studies in Sports Administration and Technology offers you a multi-disciplinary and practical approach to sports administration and brings together over 100 international experts in the fields of management, technology, law, medicine and sociology.

The AISTS (International Academy of Sports Science and Technology) was founded in 2000 by the International Olympic Committee and also  EPFL, University of Lausanne, University of Geneva, IMD Business School, Ecole Hôteliere de Lausanne, City of Lausanne and Canton of Vaud.  For the past 16 years, we have had over 500 students graduate from our program who then go on to work in various organisations such as the IOC, Lagardére Sport, FIBA, Nike and the FIH.  Our average participant’s age is around 29, with approximately 4 years of professional experience and a Bachelor’s degree from a recognised university.   International level athletes who have participated in world championships are also welcome to the program and can apply for a scholarship.  In the past, we have had gold medal Olympians and world-class athletes successful career change into the sports management world. 

The first two application deadline for the 2020 edition has now passed so we now encourage all applicants to apply to secure their place in the program.  Our 3rd deadline closes on the 1st of May, 2019.  Last years application process saw over 200 applicants apply from all over the world.

The 2020 class will be gaining their hands-on experience in the newly opened Synathlon.  Along with the AISTS, the Synathlon hosts the International University Sports Federation (FISU), the Institute of Sport Sciences of the University of Lausanne (ISSUL) and ThinkSport, giving even greater connections to the sports industry.  The Synathlon is just minutes away from the International Olympic Committee, our founding partner, as well as the IMD Business School and the libraries and sports facilities of our other founding member institutions, the EPFL and the University of Lausanne.  Class visits are also organised annually to the IOC, UCI, World Archery, UEFA, FIBA and more. 

The 2020 class will also have the unique opportunity to experience the upcoming 2020 Winter Youth Olympic Games here in Lausanne.  The Lausanne 2020 Games will take place from the 9th to the 22nd of January 2020 and the Class of 2020 will be scheduled to attend the Games and connect with the leaders of the world of sport.  For more information about Lausanne 2020 click here.
